Gutter repair and installation in Katy, TX

Katy's master-planned communities were built fast in the 1990s and 2000s, and a lot of them got builder-grade gutters — or none at all. We repair, replace and size them for west Houston storms.

Gutters in Katy

Katy sits on flat clay west of Houston, and the newer subdivisions — Cinco Ranch, Cross Creek Ranch, Seven Meadows, Firethorne, Elyson — have two things in common: a lot of two-story homes with big roof areas, and builder gutters that were the cheapest thing that passed inspection. Twenty years on, the spike hangers have backed out, the 2x3 downspouts can't keep up, and the corners drip.

Old Katy and the neighborhoods around Katy Mills are older, with more single-story homes and mature trees, so cleaning and guards are a bigger part of the work there. The 1970s and 80s homes off Avenue D and around Katy High School are where we replace the most original aluminum.

What doesn't change anywhere in Katy is the foundation. Downspouts that dump next to the slab are the number one cause of the foundation movement that local repair companies fix for $8,000 and up. Every job we do in Katy ends with the water at least four feet from the house. Downspouts and your Houston slab explains why that distance matters on Katy prairie clay in particular.

The Katy gutter problem nobody sized for

A two-story home in Cinco Ranch typically puts 1,000 square feet or more of roof onto the back gutter, which the builder fitted with a single 2x3 downspout at one end. In a two-inch-an-hour storm that run overflows at the far corner — onto the patio, and then against the slab. It looks like a clog. It isn't. The fix is a second downspout or a 3x4 upgrade, $150–$300, and it's the most common repair we do west of the Grand Parkway.

What we do here

HOA note

Most Katy communities have architectural guidelines that cover gutter color. We match the trim color from the manufacturer's chart, and we can provide the spec sheet if your HOA wants it. Cinco Ranch and Cross Creek Ranch both ask for it fairly often; it's a one-page PDF and it's never been a problem.

Pricing in Katy

Same as Houston. Repairs $150–$600, seamless installation $9–$15 per foot, a two-story Cinco Ranch home with 220 feet of gutter and six downspouts typically $2,600–$3,800. Cleaning $120–$300 by size. The pricing page has the full tables. If you've got a quote from another gutter company Katy TX neighbors recommended, ask both for gauge, hanger type and downspout size — that's where the price difference lives.

Questions we get asked

Do you charge extra to come out to Katy?

No. Katy is inside our normal service area, and pricing is the same as anywhere in Houston — repairs $150–$600, seamless installation $9–$15 per foot. Estimates are free and good for 30 days, whether you're in Cinco Ranch or Old Katy.

My Katy home has no gutters — is that normal?

Very. A lot of 1990s–2000s builds in Katy came without them, especially single-story homes in the older sections. First-time installation on a single-story home is typically $1,600–$2,400, and the trench in the mulch under the roofline disappears within a season.

Can you match the gutter color my HOA requires?

Yes. We carry the manufacturer's color chart with more than 25 baked-on finishes, match to your trim or fascia, and can send the spec sheet to your architectural committee before the job.
